ABOUT THE BOAT
THE HOLCIM-PRB IMOCA DESIGN
The Holcim-PRB IMOCA is based on a design originally created by French naval architect Guillaume Verdier. The boat was part-built in the UK by Carrington Boats but the construction was completed by the team in France when a number of significant modifications - including a switch to a scow-style bow - were incorporated.

ABOUT THE BOAT
SCIENCE EQUIPMENT
The boat’s onboard micro plastic sampling units took daily samples using a special filter system, which are analyzed by scientists to help quantify the amount of plastic pollution in the ocean and give insight into the plastic product - such as bottle, a bag or a fishing net - it originated from.
