The IMOCA Holcim-PRB Relaunches Ahead of the 2025 Season
Following three months of intensive refit work, the IMOCA Holcim-PRB has been relaunched at its home base in Port-La-Forêt. This marks a significant milestone for the team, who used the post-Vendée Globe period to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the boat. All onboard systems were dismantled, checked, and reassembled.
A notable feature of this refit was configuring the IMOCA in a crewed setup. While the structural integrity of the boat remains unchanged, modifications were made to accommodate five sailors living and working on board. The entire 2025 season will be raced in this fully-crewed format.

The relaunch went smoothly, and it marks an important milestone for the team. Over the past months, everyone has worked incredibly hard to update the boat and transition from a solo to a crewed configuration. We're excited about the season ahead and proud of what we’ve achieved so far.
The first sailing sessions are expected to begin as early as next week. These will mark the first time the full crew, assembled specifically for The Ocean Race Europe, sails together aboard Holcim-PRB. Skipper Rosalin Kuiper will be joined by an elite team of sailors: Nicolas Lunven, Franck Cammas, Alan Roberts, and Carolijn Brouwer. The team will undergo intensive training sessions in preparation for the season’s highlight event.
Before heading to Kiel, the starting city of the 2025 Ocean Race Europe, part of the crew will take on another major challenge: La Route des Caps. This demanding race around the British Isles begins on June 29 from Boulogne-sur-Mer and will serve as a real-world test for Kuiper, Lunven, Cammas, and Roberts ahead of the summer’s main event.
